Refining Vision & Purpose with Cosmic Connections

The Whirlwind of Change:

If the past few months have felt like a whirlwind, you’re not alone. Behind the scenes, I’ve been navigating waves of change — refining my website, reshaping my offerings, and realigning Cosmic Connections with the deeper purpose it was always meant to hold.

Sometimes, transformation asks us to pause before we expand. To step back, reflect, and let everything we’ve learned settle into place before the next chapter unfolds. That’s exactly what this season has been for me — a recalibration, both personally and professionally.

As I prepare to open The Holistic Sanctuary in Milton Keynes for in-person sessions, I’ve found myself reflecting on how far this path has carried me.

🌿 My Journey Into Holistic Wellbeing

My journey into holistic wellbeing began when I first read The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra at 18. It opened my eyes to the idea that there was more to life than achievement alone — that peace and purpose come from aligning with something deeper.

When I moved to London in my early twenties, a friend introduced me to massage and yoga. I was instantly drawn to the mind–body connection and soon found myself working full-time while studying every weekend to complete my Holistic Massage qualification. My dream was to one day open my own practice — but life had other plans.

After going through a painful divorce, I turned to personal development and self-help as a way to heal and understand myself. I devoured books like Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, The Purpose Driven Life, and everything Oprah ever recommended. That period of searching became the foundation for the work I do now — helping others rediscover their strength and reconnect with their own light.

In my twenties, I worked in high-pressure sales and account management roles. I was successful but constantly running on adrenaline. Massage became a necessity rather than a luxury. By 2009, I was completely burnt out. I made a bold decision to leave my corporate career behind, travel the world, and work at sea — where I spent every spare moment in the ship’s spa. Those experiences taught me the power of rest, reflection, and renewal.

In 2012, I retrained as a teacher and began delivering life skills courses for adults returning to work. It was deeply rewarding but often restricted by red tape. I soon realised my real passion was in personal empowerment, so I transitioned into recruitment, training, and coaching — guiding others to find purpose and confidence in their careers. Around that time, I also trained as a licensed Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway® facilitator, which deepened my understanding of human potential and resilience.

Between 2014 and 2017, I worked in the corporate recruitment and training sector, but something in me knew it wasn’t where I was meant to be. During a reflective holiday back home in Cape Town, I stood at a crossroads — return to South Africa or reinvent myself in the UK. I chose reinvention.

That decision marked the start of a powerful manifestation journey that began with a simple word and image on my dream board. One year, one hundred rejection letters, and a great deal of belief later, I manifested my way back into the education sector — securing a role at The Open University in 2017, where I still work today.

🌙 Integration and Expansion

Since 2018, life has unfolded in magical ways. I met my husband — a true soul connection — and began to deepen my studies in Reiki, Pellowah, Neuroscience, and Coaching. Each new qualification has been part of a greater tapestry — integrating science, spirituality, and self-awareness into the work I now bring forward through Cosmic Connections.

As I prepare to offer face-to-face holistic sessions and creative wellbeing workshops, I feel immense gratitude for the experiences that shaped me — the challenges that strengthened me, the mentors who guided me, and the dreams that refused to let go.

This next chapter is all about integration — blending 20 years of learning and lived experience into one grounded, heart-centred practice that helps others reconnect with themselves.
