Aries Full Moon: What Does It Mean to Come Home to Yourself?

Golden full moon above a white splash against a dark starry background.

A Full Moon is never just one moment in time. It can also be an invitation to look backwards — to notice what was beginning six months earlier, what has changed since then, and what is now becoming clearer.

This Aries Full Moon has made me do exactly that. I’ve been looking back to the Aries New Moon earlier this year and thinking about what was beginning in my life then. What I hadn’t realised was just how literally the themes of Aries in my 4th house — home, roots, belonging and emotional foundations — were about to play out.

From New Moon to Full Moon

In astrology, a New Moon is often seen as a beginning, a point where something is being seeded, initiated or quietly set in motion. Around six months later, when the Full Moon falls in the same sign, we have an opportunity to look back at that beginning and notice what has grown, changed or become visible.

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. It carries the energy of initiation, courage, independence and identity, the simple but powerful question of “Who am I, and what do I want?” Its energy encourages us to begin, to act and sometimes to trust ourselves before we have every answer.

With the Full Moon in Aries opposite the Sun in Libra, there is also a natural tension between the individual and the relationship, between “me” and “we”, independence and compromise, our own needs and the needs of others.

Aries in My 4th House, When Astrology Became Very Literal

For me, this Aries cycle has felt especially personal because Aries falls in my 4th house, the part of the birth chart associated with home, roots, family, belonging and our emotional foundations.

My natal chart with the transits for the Aries Full Moon on 26 September 2026. The Moon at 3°37′ Aries falls in my 4th house, opposite the Libra Sun in my 10th house.

When the Astrology Mirrors Real Life

Looking back, I can see how literally those themes have been playing out.

The 4th house is traditionally connected with home, roots, family, belonging and our inner foundations. Directly opposite it sits the 10th house, associated with career, responsibility, our public role and the direction we are taking in the outside world.

That 4th and 10th house axis feels particularly significant for me during this Full Moon, because both areas of my life have been undergoing change at exactly the same time.

At home, we have replaced the roof, worked on the garden, added decking and created a greenhouse. These may sound like ordinary home projects, but looking at them through the symbolism of the 4th house, I can see a much bigger theme emerging. We have quite literally been working on our foundations and creating a home that feels more secure, more settled and more like us.

At the same time, my working life has been asking some equally important questions.

Shortly after the Aries New Moon in April, I stepped into a secondment that gave me an opportunity to take on greater responsibility, experience leadership from a different perspective and explore what the next stage of my career might look like. I went into it believing that growth might mean moving upwards, taking on more responsibility and proving to myself that I could do it. What I discovered was something different. The experience helped me understand much more clearly what I value, what kind of working environment allows me to thrive, what I am prepared to compromise on and, perhaps most importantly, what I no longer feel I need to prove.

And now, as this Aries Full Moon illuminates my 4th house while the Libra Sun sits opposite in my 10th, I am completing that secondment and returning to my substantive role. There is something beautifully symbolic about that. I am quite literally returning home.

What Is Your Aries Full Moon Story?

You do not need to know your whole birth chart to work with a Full Moon like this. You can simply look back to the Aries New Moon in April and ask yourself what was beginning then.

  • What has changed since that point?

  • What feels clearer now?

  • Where have you become more confident about what you need, what you want, or what no longer fits?

For me, this cycle has been about foundations, belonging and recognising that growth can sometimes look less like pushing forward and more like coming back to what feels right.
